Currently, antenna / EMC performance is one of the bottleneck issues in many wireless products. Poor antenna performance can cause unnecessary product delays and costs. In modern days, complex antennas are designed with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools. Antenna performance (antenna tuning & efficiencies) is hugely effected by the materials ( such as plastics, display glass..etc) nearer to them. Thus, it is very important to know the precise dielectric properties of such materials in giga hertz frequencies (nearer to frequency of operation of the antenna) for a very accurate antenna / EMC simulations.
RF material testing measures the precise dielectric properties (epsilon & tan delta) of materials such as plastics, glass, rubber..etc. at giga hertz ranges. We use a resonant method for dielectric characterization of materials. This method is fast, reliable and needs no sample modifications. Our customer can be sure about the RF material properties of the plastics used in their device manufacturing and use this data in their antenna simulations. Accurate antenna simulations can avoid unnecessary multiple prototyping rounds.
Our RF material testing has the following capabilities
We can characterize dielectric materials at 1.1, 1.9,2.45, 3.1 and 5.1 GHz. Samples are provided by the customers in sheet forms of certain minimum area depending on the resonator frequency. Please contact for required sample dimensions.
