As UK has left the EU, starting from January 2021 the United Kingdom Conformity Assessed (UKCA) mark is being phased to replace CE mark. Here it is what is known so far:
Does my CE certified radio product comply to UK market?
Yes, until 31st December 2021 providing the product has or will have:
a) CE Declaration of Conformity based on self-declaration OR any mandatory third-party conformity assessment by an EU recognized notified body
AND
b) Product is placed on UK market before 31st December 2021.
For details see: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-ukca-marking#check-whether-you-need-to-use-the-new-ukca-marking
From 1st January 2022 products must comply UK legislation. You can find the EU an corresponding UK legislation from here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/placing-manufactured-goods-on-the-market-in-great-britain#legislation
If you have used CE Self Declaration you need to prepare a separate Declaration for UK market. At the moment UK Regulations point to the EN/IEC standards. TESTiLABS keeps following the situation regarding any updates or changes on UK Declaration.
How to mark my product?
UKCA marking is required from 1 January 2022 onwards. This does not apply to existing stock, for example, if your good was fully manufactured, CE marked and put on the UK market before 1 January 2022. In these cases, your good can still be sold in Great Britain with a CE marking. However, UK authorities encourage manufacturers to use the UKCA marking as soon as possible.
Instructions how to use UKCA marking are found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/using-the-ukca-marking#how-to-use-the-ukca-marking
